ONE DAY OF MINISTRY AT NETWORK211 (9/29/11)
Jesus' parable of the Sower and the Seed in Matthew 13 describes a farmer who scatters the seed in the field. The "field" for Network211 is 1.7 billion Internet users. About 214 million of them search the internet daily. The gospel seed is scattered in the form of websites ready for the viewer hear the gospel.
On Thursday, September 29, 2011, 4,801 people visited a Network211 evangelism website. Of those, 413 spent time on the site and responded by clicking a response button. The most serious took time to submit a form and make a comment. Here are the results and some sample responses (all times CDT):
- 59 Salvations recorded: At 1:50 am, a woman from United Arab Emirates wrote “I have watched the video and I need it badly for me to have guidance in my daily life. “
- 31 Recommitments recorded: At 4:56 am, another lady from Kuwait wrote, “im tottalydipressed bcz [because] I never been in church for long time”
- 20 Prayer Requests recorded: At 2:12 am, a wife from the Philippines wrote, “I would like to ask for a prayer request about my intention of telling my husband about my problems. That he may understands and able to love me after all the revelations. After all the trials i have gone through by myself i became more closer and strengthen my faith in God. I wish that both of us will become more closer to each other and live to through the fullness ofGod.”
- 11 Questions recorded: At 5:11 am, an inquirer from Kenya asked, “what does having a relationship with jesus christ mean.”
On September 29, Network211 presented the gospel to visitors from 130 countries and territories. The top 8 countries were:
| Philippines - 1,455 | India - 498 | United States - 332 | Nigeria - 254 |
| Indonesia - 221 | Kenya - 203 | South Africa - 129 | Vietnam - 129 |
We received evangelism responses from several unlikely countries:
| East Timor | Iceland | Palestinian Territory | Poland |
Nepal | Japan | Qatar | Denmark |
More than 500 volunteer connectors from all around the world respond to these inquirers. A connector responds with a personal email response to each inquirer within 48 hours. They also encourage inquirers to visit www.GlobalChristianCenter.com and www.GlobalFriendLink.com for more in-depth discipleship materials and interaction. Our goal is to help inquirers grow in their Christian faith.
Why Use The Internet? It is the latest tool available to do what Jesus has called us to do--"scatter the seed." Network211 uses this tool to bring a person to Christ, provide a path to spiritual maturity and equip them for service to God. Jesus emphasized that a single seed can reproduce itself 30, 60 or 100 times! We pray that the Holy Spirit will take each seed planted and direct that person to reach their fullest potential as a follower of Jesus Christ.
How can you help? You can pray. You can become a Connector. You can provide financial support. At the end of the day, the bills must be paid. Today's budget for evangelism and discipleship was provided by Light for the Lost. A donation of $750 will enable us present the gospel to about 5,000 people. A donation of $15 will reach about 100 people. Will you say yes today? If so click here to donate.
Tomorrow is another day, and we will be here on the Internet, sowing gospel seeds to everyone, everywhere.
